Chris Bellamy is an extraordinary musician. He is also a master storyteller. If you have checked out his Blue Water World CD, you already know that. If not, it’s time to check it out.

So, let’s visit three songs from the album, shall we?

Chris’ favorite song on that CD is the title tune. It’s about fishing along the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It’s not just about fishing; it’s about people that pass through our lives. In the song, Chris mentions a few of those people including one of his personal favorites, the great Ernest Hemingway.

In fact, pictures of a young Chris bear a remarkable resemblance to Hemingway. To listen to his song, click here: https://open.spotify.com/album/4vaURvp7uRgPvkK792kGPs

The next favorite song on this CD is Another place.

Here is the Master Storyteller himself performing at his birthday bash at Shell Island.

Another excellent song on this CD is an ode to Lumina, a longtime Wrightsville Beach icon.

In 1999, UNC Public TV created a DVD titled LUMINA – Remember the light.

Front and center with this project was none other than Chris Bellamy. The haunting song played throughout the video was written and performed by Chris.
